Discover Durham’s Hidden Garden Gems 

Join us on a delightful journey as we meander together through Durham Region, uncovering hidden horticultural treasures tucked away in urban spaces and charming nearby locales. Our journey begins at the vibrant Harmony Community Garden, Oshawa.

This year, we’re thrilled to have the exclusive opportunity to visit Greenwood Botanicals, the enchanting domain of Certified Herbalist Diane Tait. Along our route, we’ll make a sweet stop at the beloved regional farm store at Hy Hope Farm. (Trust us, you won’t want to miss their famous butter tarts!)

Garden secrets await as we venture west from Oshawa, exploring urban gardens along the northern part of the urban space, culminating at a final gem nestled in Ajax.

DIG has carefully curated highlights at each garden, offering inspiration and learning opportunities for all. Come prepared for a day of exploration, shopping, and camaraderie. Dress for the weather,  enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch, and get ready to connect with fellow garden enthusiasts. (Oh, and did we mention there will be prizes?) 

A detailed itinerary with stop order and location coordinates will be emailed to all registered participants shortly before the tour date. Carpooling is encouraged.
