Tucked down beside McCaskill’s Mills Public School you’ll find a beautiful allotment-style community garden, with an orchard and berry bushes. Many members have been working on their plots for more than 10 years, and the dedication shows.

We established MTCG as a way to nurture the community and promote local food growing. It’s a place to gather, socialize, learn, exchange information, and grow.
MTCG operates on about an acre of private property with 30+ plots, a small orchard, a TNDF-run community plot, a gazebo, and several landscaped seating areas. The garden exercises organic growing practices, and gardeners can access tools, inputs like mulch and compost when available, and water. Gardeners tend to their plots during the term of annual memberships from April to October.
